“ Zootopia 2 ” is racing past $1 billion globally after 17 days of release, becoming the fastest PG film to ever cross the coveted box office milestone. With $232.7 million domestically and a staggering $753.4 million internationally, Disney ‘s animated sequel has earned $986.1 million to date and will hit the billion-dollar benchmark on Friday.

After slipping to #2 last week, Disney’s Zootopia 2 returns to the top spot at this weekend’s box office, bringing in $26.3 million, according to Box Office Mojo. The new earnings bring the animated film’s domestic box office total to close to $259 million.

Zootopia 2 after making a $1 billion at the global box office, is no. 1 in its third weekend at the U.S. box office with $25M.
